PATRICK WINCZEWSKI

Hello!

My name is Patrick Winczewski and I am a psilocybin facilitator. I am an able bodied, cis gendered, caucasian, male and I live on land once occupied by the Kalapuyan people. I was born and raised in Oregon and am passionate about all types of mushrooms. I am honored and excited for the opportunity to work with this powerful medicine.

In 2023 I received formal training at Synaptic Training Institute and became certified with Oregon Health Authority in May 2023. While the education was rigorous, mental health is a complex and multifaceted discipline. This requires facilitators to be mindful of scope of practice, and to seek continuing education to better serve all clients. Already I have taken additional education courses focused on Suicide Prevention and Grief Counseling. I am looking to focus my education in the next year on Safe Space Training, Eating Disorder Treatment, and ways to better serve the Veteran Community.

I have a science degree from OSU, and have worked in laboratories and Quality Assurance in the Food Manufacturing industry for the last several years of my life. Food, cooking it, growing it, eating it, has always been a passion. A lot of my creativity expression comes from the kitchen.

Oregon is my favorite place in the world, playing disc golf at one of our beautiful parks, hunting for chanterelles in the coastal forests, or tubing down the Willamette river, I love Oregon and am proud to call it home. I am so happy and proud of Oregon voters who made Measure 109 happen, the first regulated psilocybin market in the country, and maybe world!

Together, we will set an example for the world to see, let's do this!
